95 se vs 92 gsr (long)

Sup fellas i got a lil race story for you guys. I have a friend with a 92 or 93 gsr, anyways its got the 1.7 160 hp that only that model year gsr came with. you don't see to many b17s running around. He has dc sports header, a non cai intake, and a custom piping cat back to some tanabe style muffler i wanna say. And no stereo or heavy rims either. My car is a totally stock 95 se manual and we have raced the 1/4 mile about about 7-8 times with me winning about 5 of them i would say. Its normally whoever gets the jump at the line who stays in front, all the times i raced him before i had seriously bald tires. I could spin the thing smoking up till 3rd lol and i know that ain't right on a stock maxima. or am i wrong. It always seems right at the end of the 1/4 i would be pulling and we had to shut down. Thankgod i got new tires. So were coming back from the local races and he wants to try to me from the honda 3rd gear cause to him he can get me bad there. We started at about 70-75 in 3rd gear, and it was close for a bit. He just started slowly fading away to the back door, and then his vtech hit and he stayed there for a bit and then started falling back more and more as the revs climbed in 3rd gear. His 3rd gear is a little bit shorter than mine so when he shifted into 4th i was still at the top of 3rd and i just started walking to more than a car length, by the time i went into 4th i would say i was a solid 2 cars and pulling. We got up till about 115-120 and we shut down. Since this kid is like one of my best friends there was no **** talking or anything he actually expected me to walk him more. Hes got repect for maximas lol. I was kinda of proud of a stock 95 with a 100k beating a gsr with i/h/e up in the higher speeds. I still have yet to race him in the 1/4 on my new tires

Nice race. I've driven a GSR, they're just OK around the city, but really wake up on the highway. They're in VTEC heaven above 70 mph
