What's the easiest way to check/change the flywheel?

My car has been starting hard every once and a while and I'm starting to believe that my flywheel is missing some teeth. I already checked the starter so I know it isn't the starter. What's the easiest way to check or change the flywheel? Anyone have a write-up? Any info is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

to check the fly wheel pull the starter and have some one turn the motor over ( with a socket on the crank pulley) while you watch for damaged teeth on the flywheel..... only way to replace the flywheel is to remove the trans....

Where exactly would one put the socket in order to turn the crank pulley? On the bolt thats holding on the pulley closest to the hood? (The one that must be loosened in order to change the belts?)

put the socket on the lower pulley (crank) the one that drives all the acc's there is a bolt in the center of the crank pulley....that attaches the pulley to the crankshaft

Make sure the key is out of the ignition while you do this...better safe than sorry.
