I'm thinking about *gasp*... Selling my car
 

Yup, I'm getting close to graduation... another semester and I'm outa here. On to Navy OCS, then out to Cali for some training. So, I want to sell my car before I go to OCS, and get a bike when I get to Cali (I have a car I can use inbetween just in case). At any rate...

What do you think my car would sell for? Should I sell it w/ the mods, or take them off to part out? And which way would be the best to sell it? Autotrader, Cars.com or eBay?

The only two detractors are that there's a small dent in the back (i'll take a pic later), where the trunk is and my CEL is on for EVAP stuff.

#1 yeah, i figured that... I'd make more $ selling the mods. As a side benifiet, I'm guessing taking the mods off would broaden the market. I'm sure common people wouldn't want that stuff on the car anyway.

#2 You're definately right here, but I've seen a few go for $3000-$4000 on eBay.

What should I do about the CEL? I was thinking I could just reset it, or try and actually fix it before I sell it. But I don't want to be dishonest, and I also don't want to spend money on a car I'm probably going to sell.

if you want to be a basterd take out the check engine light bulb.

in your case i'd look for a family member i could give my car to liek a younger sister of a friend's younger sibling. they might want it with mods.

i wouldn't fix it, the cel, unless it weighs heavily on you, or its a quick cheap fix.

I'm not a bastard... reap what you sow. I'm going to look into other solutions for the CEL. Hopefully I can get that EVAP stuff fixed cheap somehow.

Yeah, take off and sell all the mods, if you don't give to family like said above.

Fix the dent in the trunk for like $30-$40 and be done with it. Autotrader.com sucks IMO. But that is coming from a buyer's POV. If you want to sell it, I would just try to do it locally if you could. You would be able to get more for it if you do it that way.

Or just sell it here on the .org. I mean, there has got to be a newb that wants a good max, right?
