Car won't start usually
I have a 95 Maxima. I replaced the Starter Last year because whenever i went to turn the key to start nothing happened.
It progressed into that. It started out as being i would turn the key and it would kick in after a second or two...sometimes moving the shifter back and fourth through the geras then it worked fine. Other times I would just keep turning back and fourth and it would go. Somehow replacing the starter seemed to fix it. However the winter went by and i've noticed the car starting to pause again like it used to. And today, the car decided that it wasn't starting at all. I did finally hold the key in position for a second and it finally started the car up. Any ideas? Is it the Ignition switch? Neutral Position switch? Let me know. Avogadro |

Hope that helps. |
No i didn't read it cause the serach was down and I went through a whole bunch of pages of threads and didn't find anything.
But thanks. I'll try looking at that fuse and maybe replacing it and look at the NPS |
I have the same exact problem. When it's warm it isn't a big deal. My car sat in my working parking lot all last night and today because of it.

I replaced the started once, and 6 months later, the starter went out again. Both were aftermarket starters.

Try hitting the gad pedal as you start the car.
Can it be the fuel filter being bad? Recently |
I cleaned the Starter Signal Fuse (it was corrodid slightly with a nice film) and it started up right away. So we'll see.
For that last post, hitting the gas wouldn't do anyhting, the car doesn't turn over. When i turn that key literally nothing happens. |
