H&R springs
#2
Mine did that when I didn't get the upper strut mount facing the right direction. There is a notch in the metal cup that is supposed to face directly away from the car - if it doesn't, the bearing isn't able to work right and it makes a creaking noise, especially at the extremes. Easy to check, and not too hard to fix.

When I first had my H&R's installed, they rubbed against a bolt sticking out from the under the hood of the car. I ended up removing the bolt, installing a washer, and haven't heard a creak since. The bolt was near (but not on) the windshield wiper motor under the hood. It stick directly into the upper strut mount area.
The evidence for the sound was that I saw scraping marks on the upper strut mount when I removed it, then I saw a shaved away bolt end when I looked up into the wheelwell.
