Help - Can't get the filler screw loose for tranny.
 

I just can't get it loose. The filler screw where I fit a 1/2" ratchet into, it won't budge. Anyone have any suggestions on how else to get it out?

It looks like someone put some silicon of somesort on the thread as I see some remainants of it oozed out on the edge.

Any suggestions appreciated!

either buy a breaker bar, or put a piece of pipe on the handle of the ratchet to give you more leverage

Not sure why but Nissan put sealant on the plug. Skinny is right...breaker bar will loosen it in short order.

you mean you're not sure why nissan put sealant or you're not sure why 'but' nissan puts sealant on the filler screw? :P

anyways..

i guess i gotta pick up a breaker bar tomorrow then.. just hope i've got enough room from under.
