I want to purchase some indiglo gages. Any one who has them, please reply with your opinions on who has the best working indiglo's. I have a 97max, trying to avoid any headaches... Saw a bunch of post on defective gauges...uhg.

I'm pretty sure that Initial K is the only company that makes indiglos for the Max. They're fixing them so the new ones should be fine..I got em whne they first came out and I'm just gonna keep em, even if they do have some minor defects:spin:

I think there going to be replacing them for free, you might want to look into it. Thanx for the info. Matt

I really like these gauges. The install was pretty easy. There was only two discrepincies with the instructions from maximadriver.com
I have a 99, so the power wire color was different than the instructions. The other was I had to modify the hole where the backlighting bulbs were. I could not get the wire connectors for the indiglos though. I think to gauges are well made.

My tach sticks and my fuel gauge didn't move all week. I was planning on "trying" to fix them tomorrow. I will have to check up on that replace for free thing...

From what I hear, the replace for free are only for the 95-97 indiglo gauges.

avalon racing said they will have their very soon... they said they're still testing them out or something

Well I don't need to replace mine. I just got done fixing them... that damn tach... i fixxed it.... shaved some of the needle( not the needle itself but the base of it.)

will have to see about the fuel gauge though..

Shaved the base of the needle? How? Did you take the needles off? My dang speedo still gets stuck at 62 until I get over 70 then it pops over. And I always have gas in my car! I've driven 310 miles and I still have 90% in my tank!

hehehehehehehehehehehehe

yep, i have just under a full tank...all week.. man those gauges get really good milage.. (snicker, snicker)

the needle shave....ok, i shaved the underside of the ...i guess you can call it the "counterbalance"side of the needle...the black part 180 dergees adjacent to the needle...do you understand what i am talking about???

that was the part that was touching and making the needle stick.

i very, very, very carefully took a razor and shaved the bottom..took me a while cause i didn't want to mess up.

I still think the fuel gauge is going to stick...

hmm... modifications- i WILL get them all to work....
