are tsb's free?

i think my max has the brake cable defect, are tsb's free of charge or do i have to pay?? If so, does anyone know how much it is?

For a 95? You can look thru the recalls but I highly doubt it exists and nobodys really going to replace it for free after 9 years.

thats what i thought but i wanted to be sure. Ill just install the part myself, its just a parking break cable

The TSB's are useful during the first 36mos/36k--the thing that is cheesy about them is the don't ask/don't tell mentality of the Nissan dealers. You can complain about a known issue, but many times until you mention the TSB they wont fix it, even under warranty. The power brake check valve is exactly that. Here it is 2004 and all these dudes are wondering why they hear a ticking sound from the engine, and then we go off on tangents about lifters, cams, chains, way off the beaten path.

The dealer gets around $295 to do the brake cables. fyi...
