Alright.. well here it is... I'm getting a set of 18x8 rims with 235/40/18 tires.. and I also want to lose the wheel gap.. so I was thinking of dropping it 2" with Sprint Springs? is that too much?...Also what would be good shocks to work with these springs?..

Thanks,

Yes, it would work. NO, stock shocks wont work with the sprints. Well, they wont work for very long...thats for sure.

LOL

Really?... Then what do you suggest I drop it with and still have a quality ride?..

mzmtg 03-29-2001 10:43 AM

You're not gonna be able to drop it on the factory shocks with anything. Any drop requires a much stiffer spring...which requires stiffer dampers. H&Rs are the softest...but sprints are the lowest.

no..

I didn't say I was going to drop my car with springs and not change the shocks... what I asked was, what would be good shocks to use with springs...

Re: no..

If you drop the car 2" , you will no longer have a quality ride. I just drop my car with Sprint. The ride is alot firmer. I like it though.

ok ok...you only have a few options

KYB: cheap, but no stiffer than OEM

Tokico: stiffer, but some say too soft for sprints...I think they are fine

Koni: adjustable, very nice, but requires some cutting and $$$

Or go with coilovers, also $$$
