Illuminas & Vogtland Springs

Just received my long awaited Illumia kit and the "Tokico" springs appear to be Vogtland. Part Numbers are VDF VA 952143 and VDF HA 952144 but no "Vogtland" logo or "Made in Germany". They do not show up on the Vogtland website as a part number for an A32 Maxima.
The Tokico box was labeled ILK 246 by hand. It appeared to be factory sealed, but the company where they came from may have new/empty Tokico boxes for shipping kits. Shocks were in individual boxes but the struts were not boxed. The springs were just placed in the box loose as well.
All that said has anyone else run these springs with or without Illumina's. If they're dogs I'm not installing them. I don't want to do this twice. H&Rs are easily found and Custom Maxima should have the real Tokico springs available.

Thoughts anyone, my cow needs new pillows!

Cheers

Hmmm... Well first there's the color. Vogtland Eggplant puce for lack of a better description. Second the part number format is identical to Vogtland part numbers.
What I got with the kit today. Flash distorts the actual color a bit;

Image from Vogtland's site, obviously not a photograh ;

Good question... I wish I had the answer.

At this point I have no idea what I have, if they're genuine, will they fit, and what the spring rates are.
Definitely making a phone call tomorrow.

These came in the Illumina kit GD Scott98se had going.
Vogtland springs were an option in the deal, but I had ordered the Tokico springs. This could be the old switcheroo since I'd been waiting 8 weeks for these to come.

Just had a thought. You'll notice that the part# on the Vogtland site has no prefix... VA or HA ... just the # 952145. Could this be a set# that would include the front and rear. Like Tokico "ILK" or "HPK" part numbers include the separate struts/shocks/springs.

Guess Ill know tomorrow...

Question stands... Anyone using these???

I ordered the same kit. When I placed it, Scott told me the springs were the silver ones. I should recieve mine Wednsday, so we'll see. Keep us posted on your outcome.

This was my email to Scott:
Which springs come with the Tokico package? The red or the silver? I need to know because there is a difference in drop. Please answer soon. Thanks, Corey

Reply:How are you? The Silver Springs, which are designed by Tokico for Tokico Struts.

The Red and Silver are both made by Vogtland. The Red Struts are a Sport Spring made by Vogtland for the Maxima.

When I talked to Custom Maxima about the Tokico kit they told me the spring (silver) was made by Intrax for Tokico to their specs to match the Illumina struts.

I have two calls to make!

Got the drop right ... about 1.3". The other number is the engine spec. In Europe they measure engine output in kilo Watts, I know...strange.. 142kW is about 191 hp. Conversion factor is about 1.35.

I'll see what Vogtland can tell me today. Hopefully they can email me a spec sheet.

Still.. this bothers me because I wanted the Tokico springs.

Ok....
I have this sorted out.
Vogtland.... NOT Intrax as I had been led to believe... make the springs for Tokico. The same spring is sold under the Vogtland label as well. I'd imagine its the same spring Custom Maxima has in their Illumina kit as well.
They all are the same material, manufacturing process, finish (except for color), and spring rate.
The GD leads you to believe they are different springs because of the difference in drop Scott quoted.
