I can't get my clear corners out!!! Hidden screws??
I can't find an FAQ on changing clear corner bulbs, so I used the directions from a post on making the clear corners brighter. It says the only screw that needs to come out is the visible one that attaches to the headlight. But for the love of god, I can't get the housing out! It seems like there's something holding the housing in place on the bottom (where the corner meets the headlight). I don't want to yank too hard and break something, so here I am. Tricks? Tips?

it's a little connector. just yank on it once you disconnect the bulb from the housing. you wont break it, just pull straight out, not at an angle or anything. good luck

Read your owner's manual. In the lighting section, it shows how to change them. Be sure to use a towel or something soft on top of your screwdriver so that it doesn't scratch.

Jesus .... well the little snapper that is supposed to detach wit the screwdriver DID NOT work as advertised. On the driver's side, it broke off. On the passenger side, it was so stubborn that it cracked the housing of the corner ... and never detached. I am really ****ed off. So ****ed off I just put it all back together without changing the bulbs. What a pain in my arse.

yeah that stupid little nub that's on the bottom corner of the housing stumped me before too. Just unscrew the top screw on the corner light housing, and look down the crack inbetween the headlight and the corner. There's a little joint where you can slide in the tip a long flat screwdriver -- just twist the screwdriver to pop the joint out of the socket, and voila, it's out.

Now I need to buy a new clearance light assembly. If I could find whoever designed this crap, I'd give him a lombardi slap with no hesitation.

Now THAT actually worked, even though I've already broken stuff. I've found a clearance light assembly on NissanPartsPro.com for $33,which sounds like one hell of a good price. Anyone know anything cheaper? |
ebay..........

I might be getting a one piece headlight soon, might not need the corners anymore. Pm me in a week and see whats up if you still have no luck finding any cheaper.
