Intake question...
 

So I just bought myself a 98 black GXE 5spd with 95k miles on it and the car is in excellent shape. I would have guessed the car had more like 30k on it. I've been reading a lot on here to get familar with the car and I'm just assuming from all the treads about it that my knock sensor is probably damaged by now, so I'm gonna check that out. But anyways, my question is about an intake. Since there are so many miles already on the car, should I expect the same improvements from a budget intake if I was to put one on now? Is there any reason there could be a negative impact on the car? Thanks for your help

you wont have anyproblem with an intake, it wont damage your car as it adds very little power.

unless you live in ca where you cant have your filter exposed or something like that?

budget does not make their intakes no more... to solve this problem b4 it gets out of hand just get a "PR" style intake from ebay you will be just as happy! :)
