Help... check engine light
Help... I just picked up my car from getting it's oil changed at Goodyear. Please don't wow-out on me for not changing it myself. If I had the time I would have. On the way back home(5min drive) the check engine light came on. When I got home i checked the oil to make sure they put it back in. They did ...so that is not the problem. Do you guys have any ideas what could have happend getting a simple oil change? ...or is this that problem, that i have read about, where the check engine light just comes on?

First, be sure to always read the stickies
Second, diagnose the check engine light and see what's actually wrong with it http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=104931 (<- this is from the stickies, I did the work for you) It may be totally unrelated to the oil change, but you'll never know until you check |
Thanks for the reply. It turns out that it was the O2 sensor turning on and off. Hopefully just the quick reset will fix it.

Yeah 2 of my O2 sensors threw codes way back in June, I reset the codes, and I haven't seen the codes since. Hopefully that's the case, good luck
