painting my emblems

I'd like to paint my burger emblem up front black and maybe a couple clearcoats over that to keep the shiny chrome theme going (I have a GLE with the chrome on the grille. Anyone have brands that they have gotten good results? I was reading the how to on painting the wheels, I was just curious as to if there are whweel specific paints or just regular paints that will bond better on plastic. Also is sanding a must, because I have the gold package and the gold plating. I just want the paint to stick nicely and for me to do this just once and not hvae to deal with it again

Krylon Fusion... They state that you don't need to sand, prime or prep. Just spray on plastic and it'll stick.

But I've never used them. If you can't find these, just lightly sand it to scuff up the shiny surface, spray it with a plastic primer or flat black (works good as a primer for some reason on plastic), then spray with whatever color you like. Give it a few coats until you're happy with the shine and then give it some coats of clear else it may chip from road debris and stuff.

Also use acetone or rubbing alcohol to remove any wax or oils on the surface of the emblem.
