100K miles on Original Suspension.

Ok.

I have like 106k miles on my original spring/shocks.
Right now my ride feels a little "loose" when I go over speed bumps.
Just feels old. Not to mention the ugly wheel gap.

I was thinking about new 'something', maybe new Shocks. Maybe after market, or maybe even Original Shocks. I supposed I don't really need to change the springs do I. I am not too fund of lowering the car, I guess 1 inch or so I wouldn't mind, but I dont' want to sacrify confort, or be scratching the bottom of the car when ever I go over a bump.

Base on this INFO, what option would you guys suggest? and how much $$$ should I be looking to spend. Would my easiest option be taking it to the dealer and just getting new shocks, and would that give me that "new car feel". ?

New struts would definitely tighten up your handling.

Your best bet for use with stock springs is going to be either the KYB GR-2 or the Tokico HP (blue). Both can be had for less than $300 per set of 4.

i had 134k on my original shocks before I changed them. If you don't want to sacrifice comfort, don't get lowering springs. Even the softest lowering spring is harsher than stock.
I felt the same about the comfort factor before switching... but after a week of driving on the new springs I would never go back to stock. The drive is MUCH more fun with a little stiffer setup.
