Auterra's Dyno-Scan

Is this a good product? What are other products that are like this?

Igobuk Jan 2, 2005 07:36 PM

www.digimoto.com

The Auterra is more money but useable on more cars. If you only want it for the Maxima, the digimoto might be enough.

Is it better then the snap on?
the site says this....
Garage mechanic - our system costs a fraction of what that $3000 Snap-On unit costs, plus our system supports color and provides high-speed graphing and datalogging capabilities. And forget about those expensive yearly software upgrades; ours are free! [U]

Has anyone use both of them/ any other how do they compare?

what does it do?

The dyno functions never seem to work and even if they did it'd be pointless.

What does it do?

...and more.

i dont really mind about the dyno and that stuff its just extra, im more about the other things it comes with..

DAVE Sz Jan 3, 2005 09:26 AM

Remember our ECU is slower than most **** made in the 80's so using it to stream live data is not a good idea since the 16bit chip can't really do them that fast.

konak85 Jan 3, 2005 09:35 AM

Is the dyno accurately reflect HP and TQ?

nick Jan 3, 2005 09:53 AM

i have mine in mail - it should get here anytime now, its worth for the CAN feature which will be OBD2 standard starting from 2005

Nick.

Dave sz - so are you saying this is not a good product to get? What is then?

Broaner Jan 3, 2005 11:07 AM

No, he is just saying that in hard-core tuning applications its not quick enough. It works excellently to diagnose all engine problems. Its when you venture into boosted application that the OBD-II port starts to lag. At that point a real tuning system is required anyway.
