I'd love to have something lik this...

...in my car. My GXE could use the pizzazz of SE guages but I've been afraid to do it. Why? I want to retain my correct ODO reading.

Up until now I thought I would have to swap the guage faces, which requires removing needles and I know I'd mess something up

HOWEVER, if you read the description of the item it states that you can swap in your ODO display to retain your correct mileage. Is this correct or just a load of BS to sell the item?

Thanks!

Not sure man, but leaning towards BS. "The mileage in these cars is stored in the cluster, not in the car's memory anywhere" so...changing the thing that displays the stored information will some how carry the information over? Up to you - but I have heard some dealerships will actually change the odometer reading to be accurate if you swap it over to a different one but I imagine its a hassle.

You don't have to take off the needles w/ certain sets of white face gauges/ .

I have heard you can have the digital odometers set at the dealership to your mileage.

hmm quickie.. now if i swap the whole cluster with my i30 and i havnt had any service done "officially in a while..." so do i really have to restore the 90,000 reading if the odo is in liek say 85,000....?

and no i dont plan on selling my car as a scam ... im driving it till it dies.. then im gonna swap for a 3.5L engine.. hehehe
