Stock Rear brakes

2 questions. 1) Are the stock rear brakes on a 95 Maxima GXE the same as on a 98 Maxima SE? 2) If so, unfortunately, our 95 Maxima just got completely smashed and totalled while parked (pictures will come soon), and the rotors arent all that old, and my 98 Maxima needs new rear rotors. Can you put used rotors from one car onto the other? Thanks

Actually, I'm not sure if they were ever replaced, but they have been cut.

Rear rotors, calipers, they're all the same on 95-99's. Yes you can use used rotors on another car... The question is should you re use rotors? Yes as long as they arent too low or warped... the rear does not do much braking anyway.

Well, I was told by my father that they haven't been changed in at least the last 6 years, and probably never. And the 95 Maxima that just got smashed has been in our family since new, so we know everything about it. My rear rotors are warped (I bought it that way over the summer), and I'm just thinking instead of spending moeny for new brakes, would it be ok to use the used ones.

If they are cheap why not change them and get new pads as well? Preventive maintenance. Rotors can last forever, its not a matter of they're 6 years old, its how many miles of braking they have endured. If they are warped I would atleast get some cheapo rotors for the mean time.
