I need the part #'s for the front strut bearings

also where do you guys buy the KYB bump stops and dust boots from? what is the best price on them? aren't these better than oem?

lastly, I need the part #'s for axle seals left and right...(does it matter with LSD or not...the seals that is...as I know they have a different driver side axle)...

I did search on the forums here, but the part numbers given by other members don't seem to work on pinnacle nissan...have they changed?

bumpity bump bump bump...

just give me those 2 parts #'s and I will go away...

is it suggested to replace the strut mounts as well or just the bearings?

michaelnyden Feb 5, 2005 01:04 PM

okay then....when I call them, they still don't know...they are all...."the front struts have a bearing???

Strut bearings: 54325-5V000

Axle seals :
38342-81X00
38342-81X01

:gotme:Strange that they didn't give you the correct part #s because I'm looking at my receipts from Pinnacle. They gave me the part #s for the axle seals so I can enter it in their catalog search and include them in my order

The seals are for non-locking trannies. 4th and 5th gen tranny axle seal part #s are the same. Did you finally get an AE tranny? If so I'd call a local dealer like Santa Monica or Gardena and ask them for the AE axle seal part #s.

Not the strut mount, unless it is damaged. Possibly the strut mount insulator if the steel and rubber have separated.

Are your strut bearings sticking? I just separated the two halves of the little plastic thrust bearings, loaded them with synthetic EP grease and they have been fine for over 2 years now. I had the struts out when I changed my ball joints a couple of weeks ago and the bearings were still turning freely.

thnx guys....of course you are the same people that are always the most informative and helping out on here...lol

and ken, I didn't get a tranny yet....I am just getting everything together so I am ready to go when I do buy one...I am still toying between a 5th gen tranny and an I30 LSD tranny....since I can't seem to find an '01 AE tranny...

doesn't dave b work for pinnacle?

I should contact him and see if I could get an even better discount being a maxima.org member and all...

Which one is passenger side, and which one is driver side? What confused me is I checked the FAST program, and the X00 came up as a passenger side seal for an automatic??? Sorry to bring up such an old thread!

x00 is drivers side for a non-LSD diff.

Dave
