How'd Your O2 Sensor Replacement Go?

Hey all,

I have 111K on my '96 and I've been getting 0304 (KS) and 0503 (OS) approximately every 400-600 miles so it's likely there are a couple of replacements I'll need to make (once I've tested them to be sure they're bad - probably are).

I've read the various FAQs on how to go about doing this but I was wondering about your experiences. Others could probably use this info as well so I put together a short and sweet questionnaire below - your help is greatly appreciated!

Which O2 Sensor(s)?

How Long Did it Take?

Problems?

Tool Purchase(s)?

Anything Else?

Thanks!

They last for about 60-75K. All the others can be answered in the How-to sticky.

It is a fairly easy job if you have an aftermarket Y-pipe on it. Just get the right sized wrench on it and and should come right off. Hardest part for me was pre twisting the wire enough before I put it back in. Only other one was when I had to splice it in becuase Autozone ran out of the direct fit ones. Since it looks like you have a stock one that can be a pain due to all the extra heat shielding but still shouldnt be that hard.
