intake help

intake help

alrite guys i kno this has nothing to do with a 4th gen or even a maxima but i need heeeeelp.... alrite I also have a 1997 nissan 200sx se-r and i just got one of those bomz short rams off ebay just cuz if i ever sell it i wud put the stock airbox back on and i didnt want to hack it....well the maf sensor is attached by a plug that plugs into the actual stock airbox where the sensor is at....there is a sensor that is screwed into the top of the airbox soo how wud I put the sensor that came outta the stock airbox into the new filter????

i believe you just ziptie it to somewire that is near the intake...

to make things more clearer....the sensor is the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor....which is located inside the stock airbox and that plugs up to the MAF sensor...?? appreciate it

yes.. that would be the air temp sensor.. i have mine in the hole provided by bomz.. but if theres no hole for it just zip tie it next to filter

ziptie it to the OUTSIDE of the filter??? how wud this work wudnt it have to be inside the filter?

no just put it somewhere near the airfilter, it doesnt matter and doesnt affect anything, once it get outside temp.

It measures the air temp going to the engine.. so any where close to the filter will do since thats where the air is picked up
