HELP!..Wipers won't spray wiper fluid...
I have a 1997 Maxima. The problem I'm having has something to do with the windshield wiper fluid reservoir. When I pull the lever on the steering wheel on the right-side to clean the wind shield no fluid comes out. I checked to make sure that the reservoir had fluid. I checked the line and it does not appear to be pinched anywhere. I checked the fuses and everything appears fine.
I also noticed that I don't hear the familiar 'humming' sound to indicate that the mechanism that pumps the fluid from the reservoir through the line is working. Anyone have any idea what is wrong? |
try pushing a needle into the little holes....same happened to me and it helped
good luck |
Already tried sticking a needle in the nozzles, but it still doesn't work.

You're screwed, buy another maxima.

Windshield Washer Pipe Broken, Fluid Leaking
Hi,
I have a 2001 Maxima.. The rubber hose that leads to the nozzles on the hood is hanging, being disconnected from the rest of the windshield washer fluid reservoir assembly. Has anyone seen such a problem before? I think the pipe is not cut, but just disconnected from wherever it is supposed to be, but I don't know where to locate the other end; possibly somewhere behind the right-front wheel? Sorry I have to post this as a reply, for some reason I do not have the privilege to post a new thread. |

Anyone have any idea what is wrong? Sounds like your washer pump has died, use a test light or a VOM to check for power at the pump when the washer switch is engauged. If you have power at the pump, replace the pump. |
