HID's installed!! *pics*
well i got my new helios 7000K hid kit installed today that i got from the group deal. they are absolutly awsome and light up the road in the night like crazy. of course i had to adjust the headlights so that they didnt shoot road signs and light up the sky like they were when i first put them in lol. either way well well well worth the money. also just to let yall know there not as blue as they look in the pics there more of a whitish purple :chuckle:
https://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/...6108BYsnLRuxbM now here is a picture of the comparison of halogen VS HID ewww https://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/...6108BYsnLRuxbM https://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/...6108BYsnLRuxbM |

nice but....
you know what i'm going to say ;) |
nice !!! , how much $$$ did they cost you and how hard was it to install them ?
Nick. |
sweet :) i'm loving my 8000k kit
|
they were $275 shipped overnight to my door from the groupdeal with maxbest or w/e his name is but GREAT customer service!!! the install pi$$ed me off cause it was so easy but i put one of the wires that you need to connect to the harness that connects to the stock headlight harness in the wrong spot and i was sitting there trying to pry the pin out of the socket for like 15 min in 2 degree weather :( but all in all if i would have actually tested where the pins go before putting them in the harness like an idiot it would have been alot shorter. also my pass light was kinda flickering so i switched ballast's and ignitors around and it solved the problems right away :D thanks for the compliments guys
|
Looks hott!! Whats going on here with these HID's?? First Davi and now you, it must be a Wisconsin thing because I ordered mine also. Cant wait to get them!
-Nick |
yeah, i got the same kit, my install took 15 minutes, this guy is a rookie. but they look nice. but you need projectors!!! j/k, i dont have them either
|
those look really good but unfortunatly for me i have to have high beams to pass NC inspections so no hid kit for me.
by the way, i was almost blinded by just seeing the pic of your hids from the front angle, but i guess its just a scale as to how much glare your willing to accept and get that much light output. |
nice!!! get piaa xtremes for the fogs!
|
darn right nick HID's are the shiot! i think the few players in WI with the HID's on there max's must be running 13's ;) lol. davi, you and i both know im not a rookie i was just an idiot going into it and wasent paying attention when i was hooking the pins up :gotme: lol it was really a stupid mistake that made the install take like 45min insted of the 15 it should have been. Max prodigy u know they make bi-xenon kits right? just get those.

thanks for all the compliments and to all the haters im gonna assume that yall dont even have HID's how can you talk $hit about something like this? there so good for lighting up the road its insane, you guys are dumb :tardsmash
|
Too much glare... If you wanted HIDs then you should have invested in a retro utilizing projectors.
Otherwise, nice. |
I have the same 7000k, I have night shots of mine as well. My camera isnt the greatest kinds changes the look of my hids. But these are whitish purplish lights. Heres the link.

Nice. Im actually going to be buying from him this summer. Looking good. I would actually love to do projectors myslef, however, I'm not that mechanically inclined to do so.
|
Also these things are plug and play, its just as easy as putting a light bulb in. Its common sense, they give you instructions to. It took me 5 min to hook them up and another 20 min. As for the light output for those that keep saying retro, they do splatter light all over the place but if you aim them low to the ground your fine...

how's the beam pattern?

You must understand that everybody who's gotten the GD HIDs does NOT have them on for a year yet. So, all those people simply don't know how fast these burn out and how unreliable they are. You are one of them. Others however have had these HIDs for more than a year now because they bought them elsewhere, way before you even thought about GD HIDs. I guarantee you that in MOST cases, the HIDs did NOT last more than a year, with regular use of course. Now, as far as the looks go, heck, HIDs are HIDs! Even the crappiest of them look good. Unfortunately the GD ones don't have the quality to match those looks. But enough of this. Talk is cheap, right? So I congratulate you on your HIDs and I guess you will find out the hard way. p.s. Just so you know, all those cheap HIDs (Yes, yours too) that you can either purchase on e-bay, GD, or places alike, are frequently discontinued. The average production lifespan of the GD HIDs is less than a year. So, say you only blow 1 bulb after a year, then you MOST likely will NOT be able to find one alike. |

theres the beam pattern on the wall, what i love about them is when they charge up.... |
Very nice. I like them
|
my bulb pattern doesnt seem all scattered....they actually seem more concentrated than stocks.....
|
armani, a d2r or d2s bulb can be easily found and replaced. you dont need to have the bulbs from this kit to work with the HID system. and if no one has had these for a year, wheres your evidence to say they wont last a year? because other ebay ones havent? makes no logical sense as in to why you would think that.

if you're gonna do it right, do it right the first time. Spend $450 or $500 on a "real" HID kit made by Phillips.
p.s. Most of the e-bay HID kits that claim to be Phillips are actually NOT. They might have Phillips components and hence the sellers call them Phillips. However, what matters is the actual bulb. Real Phillips kit does NOT go for under $450 |
