Need HELP- can't get into gear, clutch problems??

Heres what happened. I parked my car for the night 2 days ago and was completely fine. Only heard alittle scraping type noise releasing the clutch in 1st gear(right at the end of releasing on the pedal). Yesterday i started it to move it off the street cause of parking bans and the snow storm. I go to move it, and my clutch is soft liek hell. It feels like 3/4 the way its no even doing anything no back pressure feeling nothing. And i had alittle trouble putting into gear abnd switching gears. So i checked my clutch fliud. Was very low. Barely any there. could it be leaking somewhere? or what? So to top it all off i go to start my car today to get to work, and i let it warm up, push in the clutch and again the same ****. No keep in mind, i filled the reseerve tank with fluid, so if it needed any its there. But this time i can even put it in gear at all. I can hear the little grands when i try to put it in, but i dont wanna force it.

Could it be that air got in the system, and i need to bleed it again because i ran the reserve dry? Any suggestions? I need to get this fixed as i have no other car. Any help ideas thoughts, or solutions are welcome. Thanks.

u have a leak at the slave cylinder. pull the boot off the cylinder if oil is in there change the slave and blead system

This happened to my max with the previous owner. It was a pretty significant leak in the clutch slave cylinder.

yep, you got a leak buddy. welcome to the club. mine's been leaking for awhile now...all you have to do is refill it and then bleed the system, takes like 5 minutes.

If the system is opened, or you ran it dry it will need to be bled.

Before you bleed it, though...find out where it's bleeding from :D Find leak, fix leak, bleed system.

Most likely it's the hose going to the slave cylinder. If I were replacing mine again, I'd go with the SS braided hose.

where can you get the SS hose? I need to replace mine, just been too lazy :tardsmash

ok, i'm gunna go check it out right now. i figured its a leak since the reserve went dry. or maybe that it was the slave cylinder. but thanks for the response and i'll check it out right now. i'll post if anything else hits me. Thanks alot for the replies guys!

ok i bleed the system, and stuff. is way better gears go in smoothly. but now i';ll be looking for leaks in the lines. it does look alittle wet at one end. but we'll see. i'll just replace the whole system, cylinder, and lines if i need to jsut change one. dont need any more problems. thanks guys.
