i bought some LEDs off superbright last week and am waiting to get them. where do you plan on putting the LEDs? i got the LED 194bulb replacement for the guages, and single 3mm for anywhere else. from what other people have said, you wont have a problem putting the 3mm anywhere, but with the 5mm you might have a prob if your trying to put them in the guages. the larger the MCD, the brighter it is. you really dont have to worry about wavelength, just look at the color on the right side of the page
http://superbrightleds.com/leds.htm and pick the color you want. you will need resistors if your buying individual LEDs. the resistor should be rated around 470ohms and should be attached to the positive lead on the LED (the longer leg) your gonna look at this page for replacing existing bulbs w/ LEDs http://superbrightleds.com/1157.htm for your guages, some say use the single wedge bulbs, others say use the 4wedge bulbs. from what ive gathered, the single are kinda dim, but there are no hotspots. the 4bulb are much brighter, but have noticable hotspots (areas that are brighter than others). i bought the single, but since i havent recieved them yet, i cant attest to their brightness. hope that helps. :doublethu |
