what can our TB's be bored out to?

without going with the pathfinder TB, what are my options? in other words what can our TB's be safely bored out to? has anyone every had their stocker bored?

why bother boring out a stock throttole body? why not just with the pathy tb? Seems to be more hassle than its worth..

your right 1fstmax , as for me, im swinging back around full circle and going to have my tb ported/bored and intake manifold port matched then extrude honed. does it make sense, no ! its just the situation im in now.

well...I don't want to deal with adapter plates and such....

so our stocker is 60mm...and it bores 4mm more? although it might be quite useless as stephen max I believe who runs the path TB, discovered an incredibly negligible difference in flow and maf readings over the stock TB...he is supercharged mind U, so he deals with a lot more flow and mods do a lot more for him, and he still only registered a 5% increase in air flow and only around redline...is where the flow difference showed up...so I guess unless your insanely boosted, any larger TB than 60mm is pointless...so I might reconsider after reading his thread/write-up on the matter...

So by going with the pathfinder TB, will the rest of the stock parts fit in place ie: the rubber accordion tube from the intake resonator, IACV, etc?

quit being a baby.. it's just an adapter plate?

So if he saw an increase of 5% of airflow using a pathy tb, why bother boring the stocker 4mm more? Why did you even post this? are you ever going to bolt up the supercharger you bought?

Thanks for the link Nismo3112, I also just finished reading the HOW-TO sticky and yours was a lot easier to do. However, I still have to somehow find a way how to make an adapter plate and bore out the 4th gen IM opening. The only tools I own are a socket set, cordless drill, and circular saw. I don't even own a dremel.

This is probably a dumb question but here it is anyway. I know that this mod is more beneficial for boosted or N/A with MEVI and JWT ECU. What will happen if you do this to a completely stock VQ30 with just an HAI intake?
