Car won't start. No obvious problems. Then starts just fine....when it feels like it.

Here's the situation:

I jumped into my car on Sunday and it wouldn't start. Lights, stereo, clock, dash lights, etc. all came on fine, but when I turned the key I got nothing. No noises at all. Okay...I just took the wife's car.

Later on when I came home I messed with the battery connections, pulled the codes from the ECU (0505 - None) tried to start it and still nothing.

Gave up, went back 30 minutes later and it started right up....weird. So that eliminates a battery problem.

Well, yesterday and today I drove the car in to work and no problems. Well, I just went out to start it up and nothing again.

Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing the problem?

Problem Solved

Well, I figured out what the problem was.

Starter. I gave it the old tap on the starter with a stick and it started right up. I had no idea that a failing starter would result in no sound at all.

Now I just need to find a cheap starter...

Where exactly is the starter? This might come in handy if I have any problems.

Starter

Starter is located right beneath your intake system.
Mine won't click anymore and there is voltage going to the starter constantly. Grounds?
