This is the car that I raced ealier when he was stock. I beat him pretty bad to 100 like 4 car lengths is what he said. Since thin he has gotten , intake,exhaust,headers,and a preformance chip. You think he will blow me away with those mods or not. Let me know. Thanks

Depends on what model civic you are talking about... LX, DX, EX, Si? Either way, unless he's done other things, I don't think he can beat you. Oh also what year? There's a chance that he could beat you, but it's a small chance. My CRX used to run 16 flat to high 15's with I/H/E. Most auto maximas are about that range.

Just make sure it's up to nothing more than like 80-100mph... otherwise, the top end on those Hondas might start catching up if you have nothing. Then again, if it's over 125mph, you might start getting ahead again, I think they top out around 130mph and you can hit 140mph...

You'll notice at the 1/4 mile drags that the Max will get a jump on a Prelude and be in front till about mid track, at which point, the Prelude starts gaining, and gaining, and gaining...

Unless he has an SIyou should take him, but in my 5 speed i took an si that had cai, throttle body, headers, and a cat back, and the guy wasnt too happy about me winning! but i was happy, you take him.

i raced aginst a 2001 supercharged grand prix, they move. I lostto him the fist time because i shifted into second to soon, he blew me away. The second time i beat him. i stayed in first till like 6rpm and once i shifted to second i saw him in my rear veiw, put it into third and he started to gain but by that time i had already won, the third time he beat me again. he said that he didn't think a max could keep up, then he saw it was a 5spd. He knows dough if i get a SC he stands know chance because he lost to a SC max. As for the civic no sweat i beat seven of them saturday night at the races. The type-R is another story.

I figured I could still beat the Honda, because I beat him easily before. As for the Grand Prix, I raced a non SC one and beat him fairly easily as well. I posted the results a long time ago for them but am not sure where they are now. Take Care

Grand Prix's are nothing to be weiry of. I killed one without an SC. It had the regular 3800(190) in it. My cuz was driving it and he kept talking bull all day long. So we got to a light and cruised at 20mph until we got to the crosswalk line on the other side of the intersetion and we let it rip. My baby did what it was supposed to do. I pulled and continued to pull away from my cuz. He was defeated. He had the sad, dumbfounded look. A lot of you guys have seen this face before, the eyes get smaller and red, and the facial expression says "will you be my friend because you kicked my a$$?". It was funny. This kill was made with no mods at all.

i/h/e and a chip might give him all of 15 hp at peak... (probably good for 2 tenths in the 1/4) and perhaps a little more at midrange.. thats where intake and exhaust help most on sohc vtec (and dohc vtec for that matter). you will still beat him, but it will be closer. unless he took some FWD drag racing lessons from steph papadakis.

my sister civic ex dies at 100 and slowy climbs to about 109ish 100-109 is about a 8 second run. You would kill it if you raced to like 140 or anything over 100... easy kill, sisters got i/e/h still slow as balls
