What's with this HIDEOUS sound!?! [9.43MB Video]
 

Hey guys, I've come across a nasty situation. I was getting out of my car one day to pick up some Chinese food, and as I was walking away I heard this really loud grinding noise. There were a few cars parked in front of the store, with the engine running, so I thought to myself, "Man, who's piece of sh!t is that?" Well, I got back in the car, and at the first light, I heard it again. I couldn't believe my ears. When I got home, I popped the hood and discovered it was coming from the left cooling fan. I made a video of the sound so you guys could see. I thought maybe it was a lubrication issue, so I sprayed some WD-40 on the fan and it didn't do much. Anyway, here's the video..

P.S. - It seems to struggle to stay on sometimes. Last thing I want is my car to overheat - any suggestions?

Seems like a bad cooling fan. Take it to a radiator shop to see if they can isolate the issue.

Cool, I'll do that. Not a very convenient time for my car to be breaking down - I have to travel in 2-3 weeks. :( Thanks for the feedback!
