Poll: does your Ypipe have bee's-in-can-sound; yes or no

pretty straight foward...there sure are a lot of Ypipe posts but this one is more specific :) .. just yes or no, and then list what kind you have .. thanks !

Umass021 Apr 21, 2005 11:40 AM

Stone racing.

DR-Max Apr 21, 2005 11:43 AM

There's already a stickie about this: http://maxmods.dyndns.org/index.php?MaximaYpipes . All Ypipes are listed and says if they have the bee's in the can noise or not.

Please read the FAQs next time before posting.

tedo007 Apr 21, 2005 11:48 AM

Maxima99SE Apr 21, 2005 12:02 PM

ThisMaxIsTight Apr 21, 2005 12:02 PM

ummmmm DR-Max...are you joking? :buttkick: ... all that is is a summary of what that guy knows and has heard about... its OLD and WAY out dated ... warpspeed Y pipe-275$!..its 160$ now...cmon man.... not to mention that site has listed no bee's-in-the-can noise for Warpspeed and Budget...do you know how many people ive heard that !DO! have noise from their Warpspeed and Budget...so this is obviously incorrect info...im trying to get some current info on people with Y's that do or do not have noise...so dont tell me to read up when ive read just about everything on Y pipes there is to read :igor&donk

DR-Max Apr 21, 2005 12:27 PM

The price changes but performance is still comparable. You do have a point there. Since you've read all the y-pipe threads, I'll just tell people to PM you for answers.

bumpin it UP..

maximazation Apr 21, 2005 06:27 PM

i have the warspeed y-pipe and i dont experience any bees, only thing i hear is when going WOT, i hear air escaping resulting in a rushing air sound.

myke321 Apr 21, 2005 07:25 PM

I have a Budget and when i put it on it had light sound off bees. I use some exhaust wrap on the flex section and now sounds real quiet.

Vlasic Apr 21, 2005 07:31 PM

no bees, warpspeed.

Maxtank Apr 21, 2005 07:34 PM

none - warpspeed

mm347 Apr 21, 2005 07:41 PM

No bees - Budget, but I have some rattling at light throttle coming from the flex section-annoys the hell out of me.

ThisMaxIsTight Apr 21, 2005 07:52 PM

I love all the feedback..thanks a lot guys...sounds like a lot of people are happy with there Warpspeed Y !....I bought a Warp. Y from Loe_Max who is a great seller!!...its in NJ and im in PA....hopefully in the next few days I can get down there to put it in ! ...cant wait...maybe ill wrap it in exhaust tape just to be sure that I dont get any annoying noise :) ... I wonder why some people with the Warp. Y have bees sound.....

Bobo Apr 21, 2005 08:04 PM

Budget stainless steel y-pipe and K&N panel filter, everything else stock. Absolutely no bees, but a bit of a growl at WOT. No discernible sound difference from OEM y-pipe at idle or cruising (can't hear engine or exhaust at idle whatsoever when car is warmed up and windows are closed).

larryseibel Apr 21, 2005 08:13 PM

nope.....never did 2yrs now goin strong w/ a warpspeed! dont believe the rumors...talk to someone who owns one and they will vouch for it!

lilaclucymaxima Apr 21, 2005 08:13 PM

none other than when i stomp on it... warpspeed super-flo

Cant_Get_Ryte Apr 21, 2005 08:59 PM

Sizzam Apr 21, 2005 10:32 PM

yes - budget y pipe

86maxima96 Apr 21, 2005 11:07 PM

if a y-pipe does end up with bees, is there a sure-fire way to get rid of it, or are there just little things to try and see what happens?

mattmax Apr 22, 2005 05:51 AM

budget y pipe

Caracicatriz Apr 22, 2005 05:52 AM

budget...no bees

I approve of him also :doublethu

Your a great buyer also, quick paying for the product so that I could do my part :)

In answer to your question, the Y-pipe that I sold you didn't have bee noise at P/T. I only took it WOT a couple times but I had my windows up and couldn't hear anything. One thing you'll notice at first is a more pronounced exhaust note from your OEM muffler :naughty:

BLaKtOut Apr 22, 2005 07:29 AM

wheres a good place to get any of these products since the prices have changed from that website as stated earlier

DR-Max Apr 22, 2005 11:01 AM

I know the warpspeed super-flo is kinda new. For those who have them, how long have you had them and how is the flex joint holding up so far? I have heard some speculations about possible issues arising from it.

And whats the cheapest price anyone's paid for them?

rsly33 Apr 22, 2005 11:23 AM

no bees - custommaxima y pipe

I dont have a warpspeed or havent heard one in person, but they definatly are the most complained about y-pipes besides stone racing with either bees or other problems.

The Wizard Apr 22, 2005 11:38 AM

No bees-Cattman y-pipe

salz Apr 22, 2005 11:56 AM

Budget...No bees

DR-Max Apr 22, 2005 12:08 PM

Any warpspeed users who have testified favorably towards it that wants to refute this statement?

Yes and no. Yes at first, and no when I finished wrapping it. SS WSP.

ThisMaxIsTight Apr 22, 2005 11:40 PM

i have had it for about a month now. the sound is a bit raspy at times thats all i have to complain about. maximaconvert believes it is faulty gaskets and he is replacing his within the next two weeks... hopefully that's the problem. my flex section is holding up fine

1996blackmax Apr 23, 2005 09:01 AM

I bougth my headerwrap from a guy on Ebay.

larryseibel Apr 23, 2005 09:34 AM

the warpspeed superflow people complain about but the original style i have never heard a comlaint about. not one time! i wont complain about mine. its been over 2yrs and it still sounds great and not a hint of rust on it.
