Is there a 2k VI write up?

I have been away with some Military duty for a while, and the last time I checked, Krismax was the guy working on the 2K Vi intake. I saw some guys working on one where he cut out the guts, putting the IAC on the side.
But, I am just looking for a thread that has tested DEK VI with lower + injectors(or without?)
Thanks all.
Mike

No write up as there are many many different ways to do it. If you use the DEK injectors, you'll need to do some creative wiring. I did mine with just the DEK upper IM and adapter plates for the TB and IACV. Check out the all motor forum for more info.

What he said. Its not a direct bolt on and there will be some fabrication.

Thanks guys, appreciate the responces.

There is actually a decent set up for sale in the 4th gen forums. Stephenmax is selling one. If you are serious about buying one then I would get his.

$400 is a little steep. You can source a 00 VI from a salvage yard for $150 or less.

Dubbya 05-04-2005 11:07 AM

Yes, but then you have to do all of the mods that stephen has already done. This one is a little more "bolt on" friendly I think.

Redrilling the lower IM isn't worth $250 IMO; any machine shop can do this for a modest fee. Now, $50 for the adapter plates is very reasonable.

You guys that have done the 00VI, would you say its a big improvment over the MEVI ?? Ive had the MEVI for over a year now and that low to mid range it definetly felt.

Any feedback is great I just wanna know if I should pursue this or not

let's get 5 of northern, nj and/or nyc'ier 95-96 max'ers and get a deal on the 00VI. am up for it and you its 2...i know couple of them i can call to see if they are up to.

Nismo3112, the guy who I got this VI from and who helped me install it, had the MEVI before it and he said the low/mid range difference was like night and day. I also have an upgraded ECU so when we took my car out after installing the VI, it was even more of a difference.

I hate when people give some information but they don't provide you with the link...
How hard is it for you to post the link for the info you are talking about? If you want to help please provide full detail, if you are lazy to do so, don't post anything.
What happened to those old users who realy helped.

THT 05-04-2005 02:06 PM

WTF? You're calling me lazy? It's four clicks.

1) Click "Back"
2) Click on the "All Motor" forum link
3) Click on "Links to threads with useful information" thread
4) Click on appropriate links.

How hard is that?

Christ, you think people like me are the problem when it's lazy people like you who're the problem.

I think that he got some pretty useful information out of this post. We atleast pointed him in the right direction.
