They are the washer/grommets for the valve cover bolts.

I bet the grommets are for the valve cover bolts. Each bolt has a rubber grommet on it. You should also buy the Upper Plenum Gasket as well. You will have to remove this to gain access to the rear valve cover. This is about a 3 hour job if you havent done one before. There are 2 supporting bolts for the Upper Plenum that are a PITA to remove and put back in. You will just need to be patient on those. Also the EGR bolts are in a pretty tight space as well. The only other thing I can think of is hoses that will be stuck. Just use some plyers to gently twist the hose around what ever it is connected to. This will help break them loose. Good luck.

thanks guys -and where exactly are these upper plenum bolts you are talking about?

They are on the back of the plenum. In between the plenum and the fire wall. If you stick your hand back there you will find them.

every and any bolt that has to do with the intake manifold, 4 that are right in your face (behind your injectors) 2 which are behind the intake manifold and then your intake tube (that black rubber that goes on your T/B)

Everything you need to take off is in one way or another connected to the IM. Just keep taking stuff that is connected to the IM off. You will also need to remove your strut bar. Things that come to mind are the throttle cables, wiring harness that runs across the top, that black round thing under the strut bar (forget the name of it). I left the throttle body on mine and just took off the air intake.

Make sure you have intake cleaner so you can clean up your throttle body and runners really good while there off the car.
