Cat-back recomendation. *Don't flame if not interested*

I can't decide for a cat-back setup. I don't have a lot to spend, so the SP2 is out of the question. It's either OBX (H series or Type-R, i don't know the difference, but either on $375 shipped) Apex WS ($445 shipped) or just Budget B-pipe (resonated) ($260 Canadian), plus a good muffler?

Any thing to avoid for sure :tardsmash ? otherwise i'm just gonna go the cheapest way. :chuckle: thanks

cheapest way isn't always the best... save your money and buy something of nice quality.

The only name I trust and recommend is Cattman Performance. I havn't owned any other but I'm tremendously satisfied with mine. It'll be for sale in about 4-5 months when I go to 3" exhaust.

Cattman is definitely sweet if you can afford it.
otherwise I would go for the Apexi WS - bc its very quiet
many people have and are satisfied w/ their Budget and WSP B-pipe and muffler combo.
I personally love my WSP B-pipe w/ Stillen muffler (which is very quiet as well)

i love my cattman setup (cattman cat-back with cattman y-pipe) sounds great, and not ricey/civic-like at all :) .. but i dropped a good amount into this setup, so if teres no way u can afford it, then dont, cuz u also have to figure in installing costs, unless u plan on doing it all yourself. good LUCK!!!

A Friend has a Pacesetter catback. They're fairly cheap 320$ IRRC. It doesn't sound ricey and has a good sound. Although i beleive you might have to worry about rust, it is not SS.

Pacesetter=rusts like all hell.

In your price range, I suggest you do some more research and get a custom setup with a local muffler shop. The OBX type H is a nice catback, but is a bit louder than the rest. The apexi WS is nearly impossible to find.

I have a Meinekee custom 2.5" cat back with a 3A Racing Muffler. On the loud side but not ricey. not bad for the cost of $300 parts and installation.

Just stay away from the Megan Cat back, you'll cry everytime you crank the car.
