Post Y-pipe install questions
Okay after a VERY VERY difficult install I have the y-pipe on and have some problems that I am hopping you guys can help me on:
1) before the pipe installation I had an engine light for my (right front o2 sensor) when I replaced the pipe I changed that as well… after installing and driving around the block I resent the ECU (to get rid of the light) then just drove around the block one more time.. then called it a night… this morning I had A LOT of trouble starting the car. Start > stall > start > stall….. on the 5th try I revved the gas a little and it worked the car did not stall… I drove to work (no problems) and once in the parking lot I shut off and started again (just to test) and it started perfectly. (any idea what may have caused the stalling?) 2) buzzzz… buzzzzz… buzzzzz… now its not the worst but its irritating. I new the risks of buzzing when I purchased my pipe (not budget). It feels wrong going through all I did for installation and being beet by vibration! :tardsmash there HAS to be away to fix this.. (high temperature rubber spray?) does anyone know what part in the flex joint is actually vibrating? Maybe a tight but not air restricting clam around the flex joint? Would love to hear some feedback and ideas… Thanks -aPeG |

How cold was it this morning and have you cleaned your throttle body lately?
A good cold snap is when I get that, if I haven't cleaned it in a while. |
I was not that cold... and i cleaned my throttle body no less then 2 weeks ago.
i wonder could it be somthing to do with the ECU getting the right settings? It an automatic :bawling: and when i have it in drive (but not pressing the gas) i notice that the car does not move as fast. I get the impression that the y-pipe is limiting the air flow? but once driving the perfermance in better then before? |
