Need some help with brakes

My brake pads ran out and I am currently running OEM ones. I want to get new ones and I am wondering if I should get OEM ones or other brands like Axxis or Porterfield R4-S or anything else. Are they any good? I want to go for performance pads, or are the OEM the best choice? would appreciate the help.

In the winter I installed Bosch ceramics on the front. I love them. They stop well, do not make a sound and don't dust too much.

OEM good stopping power and quiet (NOT the Kay Value ones, but OEM).

I've been using OEM in the back and Hawk HPS pads up front. The Hawks are an improvement over OEM for stopping and fade resistance, but they will dust quite a bit more. Once in a big while they will make a little bit of noise, nothing major though.

Those are very nice pads.
Another very good Ceramic pad is TRW's thermo stop. No noise, almost no dust, very good pedal feedback and initial bite (cold stop). Best part is they have a life time warranty. :D

:sprint: That is what I am using. Less dust then Axxis and less rotor wear.

What I am trying to know is that all these brands you guys named, are they better than OEM?

Depends on what you consider better. If you want better stopping power, and less brake fade, then the Hawks are better than OEM. I only name these because they are only aftermarket pad I have used with my Max, before this I only used OEM. If you want a pad that is very quiet and does not dust a lot, then OEM will be a better choice for you over the Hawks.

Ceramic pads and a life time warranty get my vote for most street applications.
