Well, it finaly happened. I kinda knew that Maxine was getting a little too pretty and that the haters would pay her a visit. I mean, the recent detail with the porter cable- it was bound to happen. My nightmare came true tonight and somebody keyed my car in a shopping center. I parked it away from everyone at the end in nomans land, where there was a Benz and a lexus, apparantly with the same mentality as my own. The hater must have seen our shiny cars and figured that they would be a class a Pr!ck and have some fun. I am really beginning to hate brooklyn. Whomever did this should rot in hell. Why must people fcuck with other people's vehicles? Cowards- pure and simple. I freaked out in front of my mother inlaw. She now thinks I am even crazier then before. It wasn't too bad, about 6 inches. it could have been the whole car. I PC'd it as soon as I got home, and thankfuly got it to about 95% better. (Some parts are deeper than others) I used some cutting creme, then some fine cut compound, followed by some sonus 2, sonus 3 and then I topped it with zaino z5. Damn motherfckers :soapbox: I now need to look for the scratch to find it. But when I got to my car. that sh!t was white as all hell, and my fingernail easily fell right into the groove. I dunno guys. If this is how I feel about my Max, I dunno whats gonna happen down the road if I ever get an e55. :wall:

dude, thats ok...atleast your max didnt get backed into by some old fuc*er in a big *** chevy van....after only 10 freakin days of having the car!! back right-hand quarter panel is all dented in.....STUPID ****IN PEOPLE!

ya man i would NEVER condone ANYTHING of that sort to anyones car! like if a friend said he was gonna key someones car or **** with someones car i would smack him, u never touch a person's car, especially when they are pretty, and sexy, like our maximas ! :)

BTW, i love that pic of your max in your sig, its Uber hot, loving the color with tints, and those stock rims are in great shape!

well.. since I've gotten my maxima, somehow some pple have a dread fascination with my car's right side, my passenger side door was hit by a white car, and my right side back bumper was hit by a red car, so now is a pretty pink, oh ya... my car has been keyed too.. but its not as bad, I can buff dat out...

so ya... I hope its not jus me, but I think some pple out there hate maximas in general...

sorry to hear that, i felt the same way.... nasty fata$$ scratch through all the layers, only to have another NEW scratch accross the whole back door 2 days later :noes:

In terms of fixing it, only proffesional work applies in my case, and i had to leave it like this for a while since as a student i had no $$$. imagine the pain from seeing such scratches each time :mecry:

Trust me I know how you feel, look at my cardomain. My cars been hit and ran twice, and has a deep key mark all the way across the back passenger door. It has a huge dent in the back quarter panel and had the sideview mirro taken off while parked also. Thats why I invested in a top of the line security system with a pager. My pager goes off and someone is going to get the s*** beat out of em. Wouldnt you love to catch the morons that do this stuff? Off topic any one have their damn valve stems stolen, not a big deal but damn its annoying, and with Volks on now Im waiting for my custom Rays engineering caps to get stolen. Hate people.

So i get up and see the sctratch in the daylight. I can still see it easily.It looks like I only got it 75% better. I guess the PC is not the greatest at removing defects. I will need somebody to go over it with a rotory. Maybe that will at least diminish the look of it. it I step back about 8 feet from it, the scratch disappears. I think the rotory, although it will still leave the scratch-will be the last step in making it the best it can be. I had something similar on the other side on the car when I bought it and had my bodyshop friend go at it with his Makita, and he really helped the scratch become minimaly visible.... a scratch that I had been battling with for months.

In all honesty though, I am not too surprised that your car was keyed. Let me explain:

Using the mentality of the hater(s) that would key our cars, I can probably see why. They see a very nice Maxima parked "at the end in nomans land" (as you put it) along with a Benz and a Lexus. What does that imply?

Well, they get jealous and even though they cannot afford a Maxima (most likely true), it somehow frustrates and angers them that you park your car along with the crowd of awesome luxury machines (Lexus, Benz, etc.). What they feel like may be best portrayed by them thinking: "...how dare he park his Nissan next to those awesome cars. What, does he think he's got a BMW or something?"

So, putting yourself in the hater's shoes, he now has a "perfect" reason to key your car. I doubt your car would've been keyed if you parked it along with other cars and not "in nomans land". I think that's a good assumption...because quite frankly that's all it is.

Remember, as previously stated, that whoever did this is a hater. In all probability, he cannot afford a Maxima. So, seeing one parked along with a Lexus and a Benz simply irritates him. I think this is a decent analogy on my behalf. I'm not at all justifying his actions, I am simply trying to illustrate what might have led to his disordered behavior.

As I recall from psychology class, individuals as such have personal problems. By keying someone’s car, they somehow feel that they have “transmitted” a portion of their difficulties to the victim. In this way, someone is suffering along with them, which unfortunately makes them feel better, not worse. Sick, isn’t it?! :soapbox:

guess you can't win with these poeple lol... i always park away from everyone so idiots don't open their door into my car.. and then people would just go and key it? sucks.
