Homemade Mesh Grills upper and lower

Hey I was wondering if anybody who has made homemade grills for their upper and lower valences for a 95-96 has pictures or could help me out on how to install them...I figured zip ties but exactly where and I want it to look like a good prof. job so more of a stealth look would be good. My car is black and I plan on painting the grills black and I already have black zip ties so I just need advice. Any info would help...thanks guys.

Did you do all the valences or just your upper grill?

I used two layers of gutter guard. I painted them both gray and put them over the stock grill. I used some metal wire to put it in. I spray painted that gray as well. I drilled some holes (only in the to) to secure the gutter guard, and used the original grill to secure the rest using the painted wire. I ended up removing it a few weeks later because the paint chipped... I forgot to put a clear coat over it afterwards

Gutter guard and paint but not happy with the fitment so I'm working a new grill with a door edge trim surround for the lower pieces.

the gutter guard is the mesh.

grille-tech.com sells the upper and lower valence inserts. they look much cleaner imo. the one i had on my 96 bumper i just folded it in and zip tied it. it just takes some creativity

On my grill I cut out the stock inner black section all together. Then I used 2 layers of the black plastic gutter guard and cut it out to size on the opening. It looks pretty good IMO. I dont have any close up pics handy but you can see on my homepage how it looks from a few feet back.

The projectors, and hid kit was $380 shipped, so the project was around $400.. $520 if you count the new headlights I bought.

Hey the gutter guard is pretty much self explanatory it's found at home depot and used to stop leaves getting in your house gutters, as I mentioned I'm not satisfied enough with the results, so I'm trying to find the mesh thats bright silver to match my side skirt vents, but I'm busy with two other projects right now ( 300ZX BBK 13" corba rotors & blue dash LED mod) so I 'm living with it the way it is right now. Hope that answers your question.

i dont know how professional you can get with this. I just repainted mine white, valences and all, i'm getting pretty tired of messing with it, and i dont think it'll ever look professional, although it does look pretty nice. Scratched up my grill sides and stuff tryign to get proper fitment.
