Looking to lower my ride

Ok, I need to lower my ride and have about $200 or less to spend on lowering springs. I am getting new tokico hp blues(non adjustable) struts and need some springs that will work well with them. I heard good things about the max speeds and just wanted to know who has what and how they like it. I don't really want that much of a harsher ride or noises.

Thanks,
Robert

how low do you want to drop it?

RedlineVQ 05-16-2005 03:24 PM

1.5-2inch nothing drastic due to just having tokico blues

I love my s-techs (2.2", 1.8"), but i hear H&R's are nice as well

I personally wouldn't match anything with tokico blues. I haven't heard anything good about them. Have you bought the blues yet? I think you might want to save more money and buy H&R with illuminas or GR2's. You'd be more happy and you'd get the nice ride you want. Just my opinion.
Good luck

i know someone selling H&Rs

well i', leaning toward max speeds cause they don't seem that much harsher and are half the price as the h&r. Also they are more even of a drop. And I am getting my blues swapped out under warranty from tokico so i can't get illuminas nor do i really need the adjustables.

also since i am installing new struts and springs do i need any mounts?

if you look at some other related posts just a few pages back or so, you will probably find a dozen and somewhere you will read that the HP Blues can blow out very easily and will therefore not be good with a 1.5-2" drop. i know that the Illuminas are warranted up to a 1.5" drop. what will your blues be warranted to? anything?

RedlineVQ 05-16-2005 07:52 PM

well considering i had no receipt and got them used on the car and they are replacing them for free i'm not worried about the warranty. Besides what am i going to do to swap themfor Illuminas?
