So i Guess i'm a member of the club (pics)....

Average week. Traffic in the morning and evening and city/highway driving mix. I'm surprised that this happened.

you must drive like a grandma lol I can hardly break 250 lol

BigLou93SE Jun 30, 2005 07:15 PM

Congrats. Were you driving any less "fun" than you normally would? I routinely get over 20 mpg without trying to get good gas mileage (read: wot, etc.)

Bobo Jun 30, 2005 07:16 PM

That's decent mileage under the circumstances. Not sure what % highway was in the mix, however.

Black Maxima Jun 30, 2005 07:17 PM

HAHAHA I can hardly break 250 too. HAHAHA Nice job bustin' out the TI-89 graphing calculator!

ImmaSquashYou Jun 30, 2005 07:18 PM

400 is a lil pushing it, i usually hit around 330

sean05 Jun 30, 2005 07:22 PM

nice. I got 300 to the tank and put in 14.1 gallons. I dont have a nifty calc right now 2 figure out the #s. I think you can say the max was running on funes!

Nismotic Jun 30, 2005 07:24 PM

Nice job. hopefully this doesnt turn into the :

"One time, at band camp, i avg 32164564654564156 miles on the full tank" :squint:

Prices on gas= :007:

Nismo3112 Jun 30, 2005 07:24 PM

Wow. $2.45 a gallon.. Just wow.

kbmaxima Jun 30, 2005 07:35 PM

seriously. i wince at paying $2.16

2 Da Max Jun 30, 2005 08:09 PM

not to be a newb, but how the hell do you measure gas mileage? and im bad in math so how do you convert km to miles?

on 10 dollar gas i get like 580 km

ouch, bud! maybe if you get rid of that brick you call a foot you can join the 300 clud, or even the upper 200 club! haha, jk, i know how hard it can be. :sprint:

Black Maxima Jun 30, 2005 08:24 PM

Isn't the equation something like sinθtanθ = cot45°secθ ÷ ⅞ • √348.3 to calculate the proper gas mileage? You could try going from there 2 Da Max...

What do you want us to do go below the speed limit? :mardi:

udienow Jun 30, 2005 09:02 PM

Congrats on hittin 400. I find it hard to hit even 300. But I do alot of City driving and like to hit it at times that are uncalled for.

konak85 Jun 30, 2005 09:31 PM

i usually get like 260. congradulations

4x4Max Jun 30, 2005 09:34 PM

*******, 400 miles??? You guys w/ 250 are above me also, I can't even get 220 most times. I started accelerating up to the speed limit like a maniac after people told me that i don't drive the car enough (rmurdoch). I blame my foot.

Turbo1er Jun 30, 2005 09:37 PM

Wow, you wait till the light pops up?

 :rotz:

1FSTMAX Jun 30, 2005 09:37 PM

damn i get 425-430 per tank in the SEL all highway though.. and a bad knock sensor..

JClaw Jun 30, 2005 10:39 PM

400 highway with the 3.5L

Zack342 Jun 30, 2005 10:52 PM

Nope that is regular spirited driving. I commute into boston daily and spend a hour in traffic with the AC on. That is my best thank ever. I usually average 350-370 a tank but this to me was a pretty good tank. if i could drive like a grandma i would. I can't resist for that long.

I pay $2.45 a gallon too. Im wincing but where in the he11 are you getting gas for $2.15 a gallon? Is it premium (93 Octane). If so, I'm moving.

VIP Maxima Jun 30, 2005 11:06 PM

thats insane, i dont even get 350 all highway

MrGone Jun 30, 2005 11:18 PM

with mostly city and some highway driving I can generally break 350 by 1/4 tank and I live on a big hill and still have some fun.

The first post even has a pic with the kil and mile in it, may help a bit.

AlexJones Jul 1, 2005 12:51 AM

nice calculator, seriously graphing calculators are the shat. sorry does that sound geeky...

Chadly Jul 1, 2005 01:02 AM

Yeah I just paid $2.44/gal the other day and I rarely get over 300 unless its all highway... I don't usually fill the tank up completely and then drain it completely either. I started just having fun while driving and speeding up quick whenever I feel like it, just having some fun and I seem to get just about the same gas mileage.

nismos14 Jul 1, 2005 06:58 AM

I get anywhere from 450 - 500 when I push it, otherwise I fill up at around 14 gallons with ~400 miles driven.

udienow Jul 1, 2005 07:04 AM

Maximus_95 Jul 1, 2005 08:46 AM

i always pass 250, but cannot pass 300. and you get 400? Dang! i wish i can get that kind of gas mileage haha.

WielkiWaac Jul 1, 2005 09:18 AM

i got 250/tank :(

renatonetmail Jul 1, 2005 09:22 AM

I get 22-23 mpg spirited driving (WOT, launch, etc) combined highway, city. Grandma driving (65, windows up, shifting before 2500) i get 26-27mpg.

22x18.5gallons = 407 miles/tank ? Damn...that much?

You got to love NJ gas prices. I finally get more than 400 miles on a full tank. Switching to premium has made quite the difference.

renatonetmail Jul 1, 2005 09:41 AM

I am at $2.25 in NJ RACEWAY stations. wheni get closer to home I am @ $2.39

Zack342 Jul 1, 2005 09:53 AM
