ImmaSquashYou Jul 19, 2005 03:31 PM

what are plues???

Loe max Jul 19, 2005 03:32 PM

Its plastic so its lighter and more heat resistant
It provides more top-end power on the dyno as well as the butt dyno
Only N/A 3.0 Maxima's to hit 13's are with MEVI+ECU combo

anything else that I missed?

You have the MEVI/00VI mixed up, the MEVI is still metal (Al).

NmexMAX Jul 19, 2005 03:45 PM

Only 3.0L Maximas to be in the 13 second & 200fwhp have some sort of VI .....

Flava_24/7 Jul 19, 2005 03:49 PM

The MEVI is mAd JdM Tyte yO!

blackmaxx96 Jul 19, 2005 04:14 PM

Cept its kinda from the Middle East isn't it??? :)

ArcticW Jul 19, 2005 05:28 PM

No kinda about it. In the middle east, the M in MEVI, or Middle East Variable Intake ,is used to get the high-end repsonse from the engine, since out in the desert, there's plenty of space to really move. And Saudi Arabia is a BIG place.

2 Da Max Jul 19, 2005 05:42 PM

MEvi? hhm sounds like a weird name.....

blackmaxx96 Jul 19, 2005 06:00 PM

I know..... I was saying that in a way to joke with him...

NmexMAX Jul 19, 2005 06:15 PM

Though not a JDM part, mine did come from Japan ....

And ArticW ... @ least some people know :wtf: tehy're talking about ... But I;m sure FLAVOR and blackmaxx had some pun intended.

2 Da, I sincerely hope you were kidding/being sarcastic when you posted that :ugh:

95stillenmax Jul 19, 2005 06:16 PM

NmexMAX Jul 19, 2005 06:20 PM

Makes me smile everytime they're both taken advantage of ... 60-90mph is fun, even in an auto ...

Yeah, I was just messing around.
On a serious side, the MEVI is a worth while mod, or any VI for that matter.
The top end, is really nice. The pull to 7k is pretty bad @ss.
It definatly surprises people on the highway.
One thing to remember, in order to get the most out of it you need the extended rev limiter.
