FYI - K-Mart Castrol Syntec Blend on sale

Wandering around the auto supplies at K-Mart tonite and spotted gallon jugs of Castrol Syntec Blend, 10W30 for $10.59. Have no idea if this is a good price or how long their sale lasts,

Just an FYI.

the blend is the worst oil you can purchase. either the regular GTX or the fully synthetic is good. the blend was blackstone tested and results were very poor.

Strauss has them currently for $7.99/Gallon..I dont use it in my car, but my boss uses it in the work trucks...not a bad product if your going to be religious with the changes

Religious - yep, that's me. Every 3-mos regardless of miles (never put on 1K miles month) I get the L-O-F done on the Max. Maybe that's too often? Anyway...

My Max gets whatever the Nissan dealer (West Hills Nissan) puts in - my dealer included a lifetime "free oil change" when I bought my car, all you had to do was pay for the Nissan filter. (So yeah, its not free, but Nissan filters are superb.)

For full synth on the cars I actually do myself, I stretch it out to 6 month OICs.
For dino-juice changes, whatever oil is on sale at 3-mo OICs.

But regardless of synth, blend, or cheap stuff - always a Purolater Premium oil filter.
