Cattman Headers

Anyone here do the cattman header on a fourth gen, with cali spec. 1999 max of course. I know relocation of o2 sencors is involved, but is it worth the money in power gains? I did win a cert. good for 100 cattman bucks with CE. Thanks guys

haha I won the $50 cert for cattman.

Anyways, as far as I've read, the headers do not give a substantial gain over a Y-pipe. Another 5hp is what I've heard. It sure does make the car sound nice though.

Everyones gonne tell you its not worth the money as its like 500 bucks for some 5hp. But if u got the money, and u got 100 already covered... i dont see why not. Id get em, but i lack funds at this time and i dont have 100 cattman bucks.

Yeah well I won 50 and bought 50 for 25 so yeah. But I see some people out ther with them. I don't want another catbcak. I have the high flow cat, stillen y-pipe. That is why i'm looking at the headers. I am just wondering if its woth it. Thanks guys.

Well if you are a CALI spec then you have the cat that is built into the headers that was not removed when you replaced the Y-pipe correct? I was wondering what us guys with the Cali spec cars can do so we remove all of the cats and not just 1 by changing the Y-pipe. Does anyone know what combination of Y-pipe and headers you would purchase to do this?

Yeah any set would work but yeah that one cat is there unless you get headers. You mean the cat one the front manifold right? Then the main cat which can be replaced with a highflow. I think i understood what you meant. right.

The thing is that if you get BOTH sets of headers, that means front and back you would then have to purchase a different Y pipe that would line up with them. Am I correct on this?? I would like to do the same thing but want to make sure everything lines up and fits. What entire system can I go with for a CALI spec car and not throw codes?

The cattman system will fit a 99 cali spec. It is what I have. The headers come with the y-pipe. So no you don't need to purchase another one with the headers. Though if you have a aftermarket y-pipe, it will be wasted.

I'm still looking for anyone with #s with cattman headers. Are they worht it?

Come to think of it, the headers WOULD get rid of that extra pre cat that was not removed by the y-pipe. Maybe that would help with the gains a bit more, but for being close to $900 a pop, not to mention the hours of labor it'll take to install yourself, or the added cash it would take to have it pro installed, I'd think real hard about it.

I think right now I will hold off on headers. I will find another use for the cattman cert. They sell ne thing else worth getting. I mean there eaxhaust runs you 800 for everypart it seems. I will maybe do the headers when i do the engine build. But by then I bet there will be better header or something.

I've been wondering about what to do with the cert myself. I dunno if they will put it towards EVERYTHING cattman sells, or just the cattman products CE has in their inventory, which isn't much, just expensive exhaust parts. If it could be used for any cattman product, I'd grab one of those monsterflow filters off them.
