but seriously.... i checked all the coils last night.. with the ohm meter.. all check out good... i checked the first 3 fuel injectors and they are good as well tonight im gonna chekc the last 3 injectors...(hopefuly one is bad) as for the car... is all stock... i have a system but its not that heavy..i absolutely never use the AC.. i always drive by my self... and the car is always clean.. stock intake... stock exhaust except the Y-pipe... i have new o2 sensors Ngk sparkplugs, fuel filter, air filter, oil change (not like it matters)... i has good compression cuz it doesnt burn ANY oil in a 4k oil change.... i use seafoam regularly... i know that there is a problem with the car... i drive all my buddys cars with similar engines and a regular 3.0 litre camry seems a lot faster and a hell lot more responsive.. as for the transmission it has now 300 miles on it.. i installed it myself last weekend new filter and new fluid... like i said it took it to the dealer and they couldnt figure it out themselves... i really dont know what to do with this car anymore.. im thinking of selling it since its so bad.. unless i can fix it..

Try pulling one coil out at a time while the car is running, if the car doesnt change its idle with every coil pulled then you know which are bad.
Just cuz you don't burn any oil doesn't mean compression is where it should be.

Damn it i told you i had the same problem- I replaced the three front coil packs (under Nissan sign) and that solved my problem. Prior to that i had changed my knock sensor (which was giving off a code to begin with which is why i replaced it) fuel filter TPS, MAF, IACV, TB, and Cam PS....all that and i didnt need to but i was just troubleshooting..but i look at it this way, if i buy the three rear coil packs my max is practically BRAND SPANKIN NEW(with all the other **** i done bought already)!
try the coil packs man. test them out one by one...

Maybe it's just me being slow. You've said at least twice already that you have no codes. You seem to be convinced that you installed the transmission properly. You've been given suggestions ranging from a dyno test to everything else. Now, IF you have no codes and the engine seems to running properly (smooth idle, not burning oil, etc.) wouldn't it be safe to assume that the engine is OK? What else would that leave??? Hmmm, let's see...wait, wait!! The transmission???? How many miles did the newly installed transmission have on it? Or do you have like a FRESHLY BUILT unit?

How about this... Drive a giant ford van around all day and then get back into your max. It will feel like a sports car in comparison, it worked for me. My car shakes a little at idle but its almost unnoticable after driving around in a work van. And if you are all about speed you got the wrong car in the first place. The maxima is more of an old lady car, flat boring seats, (sometimes) automatic no-brainer tranny, climate control, heated seats, high off the ground so you don't have to bend to far to get in... Its pretty boring, but its reliable. If you're about speed get a SPORTS car, you know the little red ones, with seating for one fat *** american and his value meal.

you obvoiusly drive an automatic, and your car shouldnt shake at idle, i have 145k on mine and i cant tell if its even running sometimes. its not a sports car, but its not slow either.

I would advise to check the rear 3 injectors for the piece of mind. I know they are a real b!tch to get to but its worth it in your scenario because you are running out of ideas as to what your problem is. Second, how long has the car been acting like this? Was it sluggish prior to the tranny install? Are you positive that your fuel pump is working 100% of the time and effectively? After all of these, I would double check for codes in the ECU. Good luck brutha! Don't give up, I know the feeling.

Since you didn't say what kind of spark plugs you put in, I am guessing that you are embarrassed to say what kind you did put in.
I put new Bosch double platinum in my wife's 99 I30. Car ran like crap and didn't want to go. Sounds a lot like what you are describing. Worst friggin' plugs! I replaced them two days later with NGKs and car was fine.
If you didn't put in NGKs at that last tune-up. Do it now! You will be a lot happier with the MAX.
