QUICK: driver side CV axle won't come out
What types of tools or thing did you people use to get the axle off. I have pry bar that's starting bend out of shape and the axle is not moving one bit. The passanger side is already off
tug on it, :D
big hammer.... if that doesn't work... bigger hammer
I whacked the crap out of it with a big rubber malet.
dude get a flat head skrew driver and stick in inside the differential and pound on the other side of the axle it will come out...
ya I used a flat head screwdriver. Becareful not to damage the oil seal unless you are replacing it.
u cant damage a oil seal... just remember to get a long skrew driver and inserti it all the way until it sits right behind the shaft... you cant damage anything
its nice that I finnally got it out that I get whole bunch of replies but thanks anyway. I was really looking for confirmation on whether or not I could hammer it out from the other side. Its just that I saw black bar going down in the middle so I was scared.
I bent my pry bar to point where it was unusable and went to the ZONE and got a bigger and better pry bar and almost knocked my car off the jack stands and it poped out. |
the black bar just separates the two shafts ... just go to the side of it and hit it with a hammer and a skrew driver
