Why does my car Hate low Rpm's ??

Whenever I'm cruzing at like 40 in 4th and i put into 5th and im tacing close to 2000 maybe a little lower...it seems the maxi doesnt like to be there...like it makes a totally different sound when its down that low...maybe a tune up would help but i dont know...it still has power that low but right when it hits like 2200RPMS the sound of the engine changes... i may be paroiyed but...

Sounds normall to me. It's becuase there is not much TQ below 2K rpms, but once you hit around 2200 rpm's you start getting useable tq.
