WSP Y flex blew out, literally

After nearly 7 years, one of my 1st power mods had to be replaced. Went in for an inspection Tuesday. Come to find out the Y flex was leaking. I noticed my car was getting louder, but it was gradual over time. There was also one small hole in the pipe, due to the "hose clamp mod" recommended back in the day. Whoops. Any how I got a new WSP Y from my cousin that night. What a difference! MOAR POWAH! No more leaks, but there is a bit of raspy zing out the muffler. Not sure which flex I have now, looked unlined to me. The overall tone is noticeably more agressive. Having a Stillen B (unresonated) doesnt help control tone even out a 5th gen muffler.

I think the flex was collapsed for quite some time. Robbed some power and gas milage. The hole is 1" if that.

What are you doing to that car?!

But 7 years up in that weather is pretty good, right?

Mine was exactly like that but didn't have a leak. Realized it right after I pulled it off for my turbo setup. Kinda sucks because I bet I would have made over 200whp when I was n/a

Vultures! LMAO. Ya Id sell the pipe. Its not really all that rusty, youre looking at whats left of the gasket.

I do 95% short trips, 200-250 miles to the tank. I use my remote starter all the time. If I take a long trip Ill get 300-320. My old 96 averaged more around 400+ miles to the tank, but that was 75% highway.

NE weather sucks for sure. I just replaced a third of my pass rocker due to rust. I have 2 OEM fenders and rad support in the garage just waiting.

For real, good call. I live in the pocono's and every year i notice just alittle more rust on top of the obvious.
