Time to f*cking TURBO.. I have recieved a free T-28 Garrett turbo off my bro's SR20DET..

To do or not to do that is the question.. pipeing will be cheap since my buddy run and exuast shop. what else i have a front mount from that suzuki box trunk(sold the turbo)
so now all i need is injecters and tuning and to make it work. my car is in the shop so now's the time.

Is that turbo good for 3 liters?

That turbo is far too small for your engine. It's barely adequate for a 2.0L 4 cyl. :jeffy:

why is this the third thread ive seen about doing a turbo setup with you? one is plenty, what happened to that other turbo you got off a truck? or the 3" exhaust?

hymm......if you're gonna turbo it, why don't you actually get a turbo that is actually worth putting in. Also, if you're gonna do it because its going to be cheap, why bother asking if you should do it? A turbo isn't expensive, its all the piping and intercooler that is. A t3/t4 garrett turbo should not be more than $500.

It seems to me you shouldn't get a turbo since if you didn't know that the t28 turbo is mainly for civic's, it seems you don't have enough knowledge to maintain the turbo therefore you should just give the turbo back to your brother.

Or you can swap a civic engine in your max, n then throw the t28 in there....

not to hate, but you have to have a great deal of money for a turbo car bro.
i know its cool to have a turbo car, shiet its probably everyones dream. but its alot of money of maintenance, things do happen, especially when turboing a non turbo car. its constant maintanece, a turbo isnt something you install and forget. Your going to need piping, wires, ecu updated,bigger injectors, tubings, relocate the battery, intercooler, boost controller, wastegate, bov, some work on the trans to make it stronger,sparkplugs,change oil more often, turbo timer....or just let the car run before you drive and run after your finish driving. need to get the car tuned.. its ALOT OF MONEY.. shiet i could go on. i know im not a 100 percent right with the stuff needed since i dont have a turbo car, im just stating things that probably could be a factor that may needs to be replaced.

Those small turbos are shiet, i have a bunch of eclipse turbos in my house as paper weights, that doesnt mean im going to turbo my car.

its ok your young read up some more, i was like you.. lol maybe still am. just read the info, get your car running as close to stock. and do some smaller mods first then move on

we'll see im going to turbonectics tommarow and see what they think if im wrong i'll re-think it. im just dont understand how a car with 450hp can push that turbo but everyone is saying my maxima wont but im not a turbo Guru either so i'll find out later!

d@mmit are you crazy... do you know what an sr20det is? nissan japanees motor.. come's turbo. stock hp is 205hp @ 8psi. Upgrade t28, bigger injecters,huge front mount, 5zigin exuast system, JWT ECU, Blitz boost controller boosting 21psi, headers,
engine work blitz turbo timer, AFC controller and so on......... yeah 450hp to the wheels smart guy!!!!

You dont know anything about SR20's, there, how's that? The S15 turbo, or GT28 is good for around 300 WHP... 450? Your outa your mind. I don't care if your 'friend' owns one. Since when does that make you an expert? Check the sig, I just sold a 240 that was turbo'd, after 3 years. :faint:

I know what engine came in the car you half-whit. I also know that it is a very capable engine that typical kids jumping on the SR coxur like to call a trk motor. What do you own, a 240 or a maxima? You know, the VQ is used in a truck as well. Does that make it a truck motor? There are plenty of 500hp KA-T's running around. 638 WHP KA-T The SR20 is a great motor. I actually know something about motors, which is why I make that statement. Now get back on topic, before this gets locked and you get banned. What's your point, or your case? Thats still not the same turbo off of the S15, like you claimed. You don't know what your talking about. Back on topic, or your taking a week's vacation for lack of knowledge. It will give you time to read up and get schooled. :reading:

i dont think that, all im saying is i am right... so dont tell me i am wrong.. did you visit JWT website to see the turbo's... they push what i said.. and fit all nissan's..
so therefor i am right.. that turbo is awsome for my car... and the sr is not a truck motor, it's never been offered in america they were in japan.. aluminum block and turbo with 205hp stock.... ka is in america cast iron block(heavery) non-turbo 150hp stock... so i am right... and now i am done goodnight!

yeha i atmitted i was wrong about the turbo he gave me.... and the one he is running now!

but i corrected that and prooved i was right!
