Black case, business card, window sticker, owner's manual, request original nissan parts pamphlet, and a partridge in a pear tree.

I bought my car from a family member. I have all of the maintenance records from before I bought the car becuase even before it was mine I did a lot of the work on it. I still have all of the paperwork from the dealership.

That's pretty much the only reason why I settled for buying an automatic, because I knew this particular car's history very well and that it was well taken care of. I could have bought a different car but I ran the risk of buying a car that had been abused.

I bought my '97 Max from the original owner in January '99. Have the original owners manual in black padded case -- and all the really good pages are dog-earred!

MadMaxSE-L Nov 2, 2005 05:56 PM

am the 3rd owner of my 97' SE, came with all maunal stuff and had every service page filled in and receipts in the back.

JUDE Nov 7, 2005 09:40 AM

Second owner, have the case, all three booklets that came with the car and all over the receipts for everything i've done for the last five years including all oil changes.

ptatohed Nov 7, 2005 09:45 AM

I wish I had the window sticker for my '99. :(

(I do have my '96s though)

buttonhook Nov 7, 2005 11:06 AM

I have EVERYTHING including window sticker.

What do you think of the changes?
:newbie: SORRY!!!

kingrukus Nov 8, 2005 10:28 AM

Im the second owner. The original guy brought my car into his local nissan dealership since day 1 and provided all of the service receipts as well as the owner's manual.

Crooper_Hedder Nov 8, 2005 10:29 AM

Bought used (2nd owner). Manual, pouch, window sticker, and FULL service records. Every oil change, everything. Awesome condition for 90k. Reconditioned the leather every year. I've probably put much more wear and tear on it in the last year than they did in the previous 6. ;-) When I was test driving it, the owner said "oh you don't need to downshift to accelerate"... like hell I do! VROOM! Hehe.

Loved it when my BMW Z3-owning friend remarked, wow I think your car has more torque than mine....

makavelli Nov 8, 2005 12:13 PM

have my owners manual in PDF format, looked over it once...the day I downloaded it, and never again...

RockfordMax Nov 8, 2005 02:24 PM

Woot! I found the leather case today. The plastic inside is tatooed with map ink, i guess heat will do that...

Northern Maxima Nov 8, 2005 02:55 PM

I have the manual along with the original salesman's business card and a brochure for the service dept. of the original dealership inside the crappy gray plastic holder. I keep it all locked up inside my glovebox and I have read it, not cover to cover, but the sections I've felt were most relevant.

I believe I'm the second owner of the car so I have no information on the service history, apart from what showed up on the Carfax report. It seems like the car made its way around to a couple dealerships before the one I bought it at. I wonder if I call the original dealership if they'll have the service info. on record?

loco max Nov 8, 2005 07:21 PM

have manual with black holder and factory window sticker, im the 2nd owner

dariod Nov 8, 2005 10:54 PM

I just bought mine MAxima so I don't have the manual but I have it for all of my other cars. Will buy Haynes from ebay like I did before it helps a lot :)))))

rippon Nov 24, 2005 10:20 PM

I have an owners manual on my '96. It has the records in it too. I guess I was just lucky enough to find it in the glovebox. Not that it really matters becuase it is downloadable off the internet.
