Radar Detector So Good, They'll Pay...

I remember hearing about a radar detector that's supposed to be soo godo that the company offers that if you get a ticket they'll pay for it...what company/radar detector is it if any of you guys know

njmodi Nov 8, 2005 10:42 PM

How is this related to 4th Gens?

dariod Nov 8, 2005 10:49 PM

Maybe they will pay for the ticket but how about your driving record will they make it clean????????????

TurTLe* Nov 8, 2005 11:54 PM

yea they will only pay for the ticket. So you spend $500 on the radar and you get ticketed they pay 200 for the ticket. But your insurance jumps up 400 a year. for the next 7 years.

maxgtr2000 Nov 9, 2005 03:39 AM

Car can still be clocked if not radared head on.

86maxima96 Nov 9, 2005 03:53 AM

as far as paying i believe that they will only pay for the ticket if you are cited as going less than 10% or 10 mph over the limit. any more than that and you are on your own. read the fine print. google might work in this case.

or you could just not speed...

next...

[SIZE=7]NOT SPEED!?!?!?!?.......... :yeahright
We're all going to speed at some point.

That was a famous line from a crappy, crappy radar company. And in fact, I don't think that line was used to sell radars, either, it was a ploy to get you to buy passive radar jammers that don't work. Either way, crappy company (unless there are two companies using the same claim and one of them can be decent).

blackmaxx96 Nov 9, 2005 06:08 AM

It was a crapp company.
They pay for the ticket, SOMETIMES, but not for the insurance increase.... its all crap.
The only thing good out there is the new v1.8 V1, and the Passport X50....
There are a few others, but those are the only two that I trust that are under $500.00.

Why did you post this in here????????????

Scooobay Nov 9, 2005 08:24 AM

sorry that i posted in here...but seein as you said the passport x850 is real good, i think i'll buy it..iwork at bestbuy and get it for $180 on accomodations ;-D...thnx

GStrength Nov 9, 2005 08:42 AM

for the next 7 years lol hehehe in my state only for 3 years, then the points erase and everything and your rates will go down too.

99grnmaxgxe Nov 9, 2005 09:22 AM

I think I heard the ad on the radio, and it's called the FAZER???

InsneDrmr Nov 9, 2005 10:13 AM

Yea...that was garbage..it was a radar jammer thats all. But it didnt do anything at all for lazers. I got a cobra...and its the best I ever had. It cost about 150 bucks...and its perfect. Ill get the model number later.

BigLou93SE Nov 9, 2005 10:26 AM

If you want a really good one, check out radar-detectors.com. This retired cop tests out all the new ones. His favorite used to be the Passport 8500, but now is the brand new Beltronics (I want to say it's the 995, but don't quote me.). It's pretty obvious which one he likes the best...

GodFather Nov 9, 2005 10:38 AM

i bought valentine1 about 6 years ago and it saved my *** bunch of times already. however, it is still possible to get a ticket when the cops just have their radars off till they aimed straight at your car. this way, any radar is garbage. valentine1 will pay for you ticket under a million circumstances; they make a bunch of inquiries and proofs before dealing with your ticket. however...valentine1 in my car is worth every penny of that 500 bucks i spent. 6th year, and still running...

tauLiFE45 Nov 9, 2005 12:07 PM

Not only there's a limit of how many MPH over the speed limit (~10% or 10MPH), there's also a limitation on how many you can claim. I think you are only allowed to file for one claim for your ticket money in a year.

Mymax97 Nov 9, 2005 12:52 PM

hey man, u should slow down a bit because then u wont be gettin tickets

MaximaSE96 Nov 9, 2005 12:56 PM

VALENTINE ONE ia what u are looking for http://www.valentine1.com/

You know... I have never been pulled over and I don't drive like a gramma.. I just don't attract attention to myself. (and in a few cases were just really lucky...)
Cops now have ways to get around rader detectors... the best probably is Instant on... Radar off... till he clocks you... radar detector goes off... cop pulls you over... Just drive smart .... cops pull people cause they are being stupid... rarely for just going a little over
but if you're flying down the highway at 90, weaving in and out of traffic then you deserve to get pulled over, and a radar detector won't help you... (as my friend will tell you)
