Can you paint a Vinyl Decal?

I just got my deal today and the person i ordered it from ebay sent it white instead of chrome like i wanted and i have been waiting over a month for it, he said he sent me three but he didnt, anyway can u spraypaint vinyl?? anyone ever do it, i have no use for white so let me know thnx!

woudn't try it...just put it on anyway white will look good on your Max....

You cant paint a vinyl decal it will shrink on you. It would look like you applied a match to it.

Man, the paint will never dry and adhere to the vinyl. It will look nasty if it gets dirty too.

so what!? Can't even spray some kind of laquer spray or ? adhesive promoter? What about scuffing it then spray paint? I mean what do you do to the vinyl decal to change its color?HELPPLEASE

You missed the point ... the shrinkage has nothing to do with a finish adhering to the decal (scuffing/adhesion promoter/etc).

It has to do with the solvents in any paint deteriorating, softening and deforming the vinyl itself.
